Tinker

Tinker is a red merle female and has the energy of a bee. She loves to jump and boy, can she jump high! I am about 4 foot and 11 inches and she can clear my head easily – I know that doesn’t sound like a great accomplishment, but she amazes me with how she can just jump on flat ground!

We haven’t had Tinker here at Hart of Aussies for a long time. She came to us when she was only one year old. She was considered my rescue girl – I rescued her from a bad breeder that ran their dogs like cattle. They didn’t have a name for her and didn’t know her personality. I have learned so much about Tinker in the time she’s been with us. She is an exceptionally smart girl and can learn anything so quickly. She is a very well-behaved girl and has learned what it’s like to be able to run and run free. She still does wonderful with getting back to her kennel at bedtime because she knows that it’s not a punishment, it’s just a place for her to sleep and be secure and safe for the night.

Like we do with Tinker, we treat the dogs with their favorite treats as they are put in their kennels for bed, and let out early in the mornings to be able to enjoy a wonderful day of playtime with us and our other Aussies here on the farm. -Missy, Hart of Aussies Owner & Trainer
